Scholarship Fund

Some children are very vulnerable. They have parents or guardians who are unable to pay any fees at all due to extreme family situations or neglect. Some adults in Nabisoto do not value education or their children. At Integrity we work to identify the students in the village who are most at risk. Scholarships keep those children in school.

It is very common in Uganda to find elderly women taking care of their grandchildren. Men will get young girls pregnant and then drop the babies off for the grandmothers to raise while they work in the city or find more girls to impregnate. It is an epidemic. Women work hard here spending all day in the fields trying to grow enough to eat. There is very little spare time or energy left to take care of children. Together we can change their lives.

$135 a year will support an “at risk” child.

A scholarship will provide tuition, medical checkups, meals, uniform, school supplies and shoes if needed. To keep our parents involved they will be asked to also contribute in some way whether by working on campus or in the classroom. ITFM wants them to feel empowered to contribute towards an education for their child. The goal is to give them a hand up, not a hand out so they will be able to gain confidence as parents and providers.

You can give a one time donation to our scholarship fund or donate monthly so this fund never goes dry. With our scholarship fund ITFM will use an application process to identify the most needy and to determine what is needed to help them become successful. In our newsletter we will highlight our recipients. To encourage one of these desperate families please donate today.

Donate monthly to Integrity Primary School.

In 2015 our yearly expenses for the school were $19000 - for 2016 we expect our expenses to increase greatly. As we get into higher grades, teachers salaries go up. Integrity Primary School has been growing by at least 50 students per year. Parents are only charged $30 per year. Only 60% of parents pay tuition. Monthly donations help to cover these deficits and keep the kids learning.

The majority of parents in Nabisoto are struggling. Parent involvement is a high priority at Integrity. Parents are required to pay some school fees and purchase some school supplies or are provided with an opportunity to work for them. Scholarships are available for those who are most at risk because of extreme poverty or neglect.

100% of your donation goes to Uganda. US workers are volunteers and US expenses are covered by the founders. All donations are tax deductible. ITFM is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, tax ID 20-0505188
